I grew up by the Mediterranean Sea, in Lebanon, a place where cultures, languages, and histories naturally intertwine. I later moved to Canada, a transition that reshaped how I understand language, identity, and education.
I’ve always lived between languages. I speak Arabic, French, and English, and I’ve studied within both French and American educational systems before continuing my doctoral work in Canada. Moving across these different contexts has deeply influenced how I think about teaching, learning, and the role of language in shaping experience. As such, my research work focuses on plurilingualism, language pedagogy, teacher education, and educational technology, with a particular interest in how these areas come together in real learning environments, both academic and professional.
Today, I work at the intersection of research, technology, and practice. I am a teacher educator at McGill University and Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), where I work with future language teachers. In parallel, I work as an educational consultant, designing and developing learning experiences in professional and organizational contexts.
